Bigsby B7:n asennukseen Les Pauliin

Jos harkitset Bigsby vibran asentamista Les Pauliin, kannataa ainakin aluksi käyttää myös tätä vibramate adapteria. Vaikka alumiinipaloilla onkin jonkin verran hintaa, on se pieni sijoitus välttää poraamaasta ylimääräisiä reikiä muutaman tuhannen euron Gibsoniin.

Asennus ei vaadi kummempaa osaamista. Vibramate kiinnitetään poistettavan peräkappaleen holkkeihin sekä takaa hihnaruuvilla. Mukana tulevat tarvittavat ruuvit sekä metrisillä että tuumakierteillä. Sopii siis sekä Gibson että Epi malleihin.

Bigsby jää n. 5 mm korkeammalle kuin suorassa pinta-asennuksessa. Bigsbyn käyttö ei mielestäni tästä kärsi. Tämä voi olla pieni visuaalinen haitta, mutta oma mustahko LP studio näyttää todella hyvältä bigsbyn kanssa. .

Tarvittaessa voi bigsbylle suorittaa myöhemmin perinteisen pinta-asennuksen tai sen voi poistaa ja palauttaa Les Paul alkuperäiseen asuunsa.

If you want to fit a Bigsby on you Les Paul then this is by far and away the best option available. Even for a total novice the fitting is easy and takes about 10 minutes. There is no drilling or modifications necessary and everything feels rock solid once done.
The best part though is that it is completely reversible.

Highly recommended for fitting a Bigsby to your Les Paul

I bought this to fit a Bigsby B7 on to a Gibson Les Paul Studio Deluxe.

The instructions are straight forward and easy to follow. The pack includes the aluminium dog-bone shaped piece for attaching to the inserts on your guitar once you've removed the existing stop tail piece and bolts (an easy job) and a D-shaped piece that fixes to the heel of the guitar using your existing strap button and screw to secure it in place.

The metal parts have foam cushions to protect against scratching the guitar. There are imperial and metric screws supplied so you can fit it to either a Gibson or Epiphone Les Paul. Once the Vibramate is in place, use the screws supplied to fix the Bigsby to the Vibramate.

Once it's in place, you can hardly notice it and best of all, it's completely reversible in case you change your mind or want to put the guitar back to its stock configuration for selling it.

Please note, however, the the Vibramate V7 only works with the USA-made Bigsby B7. It doesn't fit the licensed version (the B70) that is made overseas.
