perfekt für meine Gibson R8

zuerst mal die Info, dass die Pickups ganz anders (viel besser) aussehen, als auf dem Produktbild. Sehr schönes und angemessenes aging, sehr schön passend zu meiner Gibson Custom Shop R8 VOS. Tatsächlich hatte mich das abgebildete Photo lange davon abgehalten die Pickups zu bestellen ;-)
Zur Einordnung; Ich habe diverse Customshops mit diversen Humbuckern: Lollar, Seymour Duncan Antiquity, Gibson Memphis, PRS 57/08. Die möchte ich nicht vergleichen, da alles unterschiedliche Gitarren, aber alle in sich schlüssig und prima. Einzig meine Gibson R8 mit Custombuckern fiel komplett aus dem Rahmen. Insbesondere die Abstimmung zwischen Neck und Bridge Pickup. Meine gemessenen Werte hatten auch nicht mit den Angaben von Gibson gemeinsam, da beide Pickups so rund 8,3 KOhm haben. Sie klangen extrem mittig und wenig offen. Ganz anders bei den Mojotone. Die Angaben stimmten überein und die Pickups harmonieren wunderbar miteinander. Die Mitten sind weniger aufdringlich und sie haben eine angenehme Wärme, ohne mumpfig zu sein. Insgesamt sehr ausgewogen. Natürlich äündern Pickups nicht den Grundsound einer Gitarre, insbesondere das Ansprechverhalten etc., aber die Mojotones haben die Gibson deutlich aufgewertet und im Verhältnis zu den anderen Pickups ist der Preis unschlagbar. Ich sehe keine Grund mehr als das doppelte auszugeben, da die Pickups in der gleichen Liga spielen wie die gehypten Replacements. Noch ein kleiner Hinweis: Meine Mojotones haben einen leicht nach Außen gewölbten unteren Rand der Pickupkappen. Die Ausfräsungen in der Gibson waren dafür minimal zu eng. Ich musste den Rand ganz leicht abfeilen, damit die Pickups reinpassten (ca. 0,1 - 0,2mm). Fazit: ein Test dieser Pickups ist sehr zu empfehlen!

J'ai monté ces humbuckers sur une Les Paul Standard de 1992. Je ne supportais plus les micros d'origine (gibson) car il n'y avait que des medium.
Maintenant le son est très équilibré, des trebble superbes, même avec le micro neck. Le tout est très musical.
Le look antic est bien fait, le micro bridge est plus marqué que le neck, comme dans la vraie vie !!!
Le son clair de ma Les Paul est maintenant exploitable et le son crunch est superbe.

Sehr authentische PAF Clones

Ich habe nun schon einige vermeintliche PAF Tonabnehmer getestet, aber keine kamen bisher an den schimmer und die feinfühligkeit der Mojotones hin.
Zudem kann der Bridgepickup auch richtig rotzig klingen.
Sehr geil!
