You get so much sounds options that you will never get bored.

tips:

single coil: very bright may need to use tone half
use parallel mode when in some venues the single coil make noise/interference

series mode: output is higher compared to other modes so reduce voume knob to match then the other two when using and as darker tone use tone knob full

It's a 35" scale bass so remember to buy the appropriate extra-long strings for it. (tuning BEADG use gauge 045-065-080-100-130 and for drop tuning ADGCF use Gauges: 045 - 065 - 085 - 105 - 130)

ensure to do a proper setup and maybe a fret leveling as some fret buzz with low action .

I had to put foam under the pickups to raise them to proper height according to fender setup specs

be careful when you adjust the truss rod!!!!...If you strip it will need to remove the fretboard completely to replace it.

The neck is affected a bit by temperature changes/humidity even if it has neck reinforcement rods. especially in environment that fluctuate 60%- 70% humidity

Tuners are OK.
The comfort and feeling are great (4 out of 5).
I have to stretch my hand a bit as its a 35" bass scale. it can cause pain for some people.

You can choose to play with string through body or on top (It makes a small difference on sound)
top load is a bit more warner and through body is a bit more punchier/tighter.

Aesthetically I do not like the Marcus Miller name on the headstock.

Cool additional features: by opening the rear panel there is a small knob where you can select how much output you want in active mode.

How i use the EQ: passive mode with a Sadowsky sbp outboard preamp and use active mode only when slapping ( I use the internal small knob to set slap volume). active mode with knobs set in the middle (flat) already reduce mids and boost bass and hight

String/pickup/wood/nut material choice are well balanced with no huge volume spikes when playing and recording.

The output jack needed to be replaced after one year. (Get a Switchcraft Panel Mount 1/4” TRS Jack BK).

I love this bass. So much bang-for-buck. Very nice ebony fretboard and polished frets with smooth rounded ends - super comfortable to play. If you take the time to dial in your tone you can get just about any sound out of this. Two humbuckers with individual toggles can be run in series, parallel, or in single-coil mode. Combined with the active/passive switch gives a massive amount of tonal versatility. Can string through body or bridge. Bridge is heavy and high quality. Body and finish are gorgeous. 100% satisfied.
