Pretty bass with a lot of tonal options
TeeJ 15.09.2022
So the bass is a lot of fun - Easy to play modern bass with a ton of tonal options. Granted, I pretty much bought it for the dual parallel tones, but I can see myself using other combos in some situations as well.

The only slightly suspect thing is the wood curing. I also have a 4 string M5, and the first winter caused protruded fret end and slight unevennes of frets as well as microcracs on the fingerboard. Quick and easy fix though. But undoubtedly caused by low quality of timber used (or insufficient curing, to be more precise.)

The fretwood piece on the m7 looks of slightly nicer quality and I ordered this bass fully knowing what might happen once the humidity drops. It's a worthwhile risk as I'd recommend any inexpensive bass to go through a DIY or professional fret levelling after a while anyways. And as I'm not willing to pay that much for a modern sounding bass, this still seems like a steal to me, as the sound is just that good and versatile when you need that hi-fi'ish, fat tone.

the guitar is used both at home for recording and on concert venues. There are no complaints about the sound, at 0 settings it produces good sound. Plus, unlike other Markus basses, it is 24 frets. I recommend it to everyone for its price, it gives out good sound, design, comfort and even more.

Great great bass!
TBbx 20.08.2026
It is an almost perfect bass for me. With so many pickup configurations available in both active and passive modes, you can achieve virtually any tone you need, and it will most likely be close enough to whatever sound you're looking for. But of course - if you only want exactly "this this jazz bass sound" - buy a jazz bass.
It looks stunning. The build quality and materials are excellent, with the exception of the knobs, which could be of higher quality.
One thing to keep in mind is the 35" scale length. If you're not a particularly tall person, it may cause some discomfort during longer playing sessions.

Overall, it's probably one of the most versatile basses on the market.

Almost good, but...
Yury Laur 09.10.2021
After a month of use, the fretboard is cracked. Frets buzzing and scratching fingers while playing. It hurts. The knobs fall out of the pots. String through the body is a completely useless function. The soldering of the wires is disgusting.
The exterior is good, but there are traces of varnish and paint. Machinehead tuners are weak and of poor quality. The neck is almost fine. The bass sounds good. Good ergonomics, bass is comfortable to play.
Overall this bass is good, but the build quality is very disappointing. A cracked fretboard negates all the advantages.
