Pretty good
JoniT 10.03.2026
I've never had any issues with signal, very reliable, though most of my playing has been in a crowded band practice space (multiple bands playing at the same time) and playing at my apartment building, so I don't know how well it would work in a crowded gig situation. I haven't had to switch the channels ever either.

Range hasn't ever been an issue either, though I'm not exactly testing the limits with my playing environments.

Battery, I bought mine in 2019 Feb. and most of the time, once a week I've used it for 4 hours per session, sometimes even longer (On the entire time) and charging after that till the next session (usually only the day before or on the day of the next session). Unless I forgot to charge, it has always made it through the full 4 hours.

Only recently in 2026, so 7-ish years of that, with a full charge the batteries have started to die off right after 4 hours, from the 5 hours it is supposed to be, so that should give an idea of how long you can expect these to last in terms of battery capacity. I still still strongly prefer models with replaceable batteries.

I'm generally careful with this gear, so this hasn't been abused much, occasional bumps and such and it hasn't broken so far, it just plastic (except for the jack of course), so it does feel like it would break if you actually abused it. It is very lightweight so you'll pretty easily forget that it is there.

The ability to rotate the unit on the hinge, is good and feels sturdy, I've needed it to make this fit in some tight places. I have it on basic stratocaster guitars, with the jack on the side (not on the face of the body)

I do not notice the latency at all (I doubt anyone actually can, unless it's broken). Dynamics/sound quality are perfectly fine. I've recorded with it plenty of times.

I got mine in a bundle USB charger bundle for 133€, it was a good price for this. And every time that I forget to charge these or forget them otherwise, I dread playing with a cable, because wireless for guitar is so freeing and these are quick and easy to use. There's even times when I just use them for non-guitar things, where I just quickly need a cable connection and I can't be bothered to use a cable.

Very good solution
Weskus 29.02.2020
I was struggling at the rehearsals with cables, since we are using livetrak and headphones. And I wanted to have freedom to move around freely with guitar.

After reading some reviews i ordered xvive. Its small and lightweight. Easy to setup, just plugin receiver and transmitter and then power on and you are ready to go. If you experience interference, just change the channel. If you still have artifacts, place them further away from your wifi etc sources. I use irig hd and with that placement is important due quite short irig cable from ipad.

Prduvt includes cable to charge devices simultanously. Micro usb type which is not that neat like usbc or lightning which are symmetric and easier to plug. I understand that since apparatus is using li-ion batteries, its life span is limited to 3-5 years until batteries wears out. I dont think you can replace the batteries. Yet, its good value device.

Regarding sound, its very good. I cant tell much difference from cable. Maybe some compression happens. Latency is very short. When I record with mac, then I just use cable since latencies stack up from various sources too much.

Chappers convinced me, and he was right!

Sooo good - had to buy another pair!
Erky32 26.12.2018
Having used them for a year, they developed a bit of a glich, so I reported it to T, who said return them & we'll check them out (being over 12months old & well used). I returned them, but at the same time I ordered a new pair because these wonderful things had become a way of life, - no cables, no belt pack - just plug & play, swap guitars & amps on the run. Thomann were brilliant and replaced the original defect ones with a new pair. Having two pairs is a perfect world!! - total redundancy & convenience! My old other radios have been relegated to headset duties now! ...but I look forward next to hearing that Xvive have developed a similar pod type head mic - I would buy one immediately!! I've knocked one star off reliability because of recurring probs with 1st pair, dont if it was design fault or manufacture but it didnt stop me from buying a second set!

One less cable
Dave Wright 02.01.2020
Purchased this item to replace a trailing cable to the amp.
Use it when 'jamming' to stop people walking and tripping over
the lead.
Mono output from a Nord Stage. Works well.
Would be interesting to know if another unit on a different signal
could make up the stereo from keyboards ??
