The Vegatrem VT1 Ultratrem is an impressive piece of engineering that manages to make a Strat-style tremolo feel considerably more refined without fundamentally changing the character of the guitar.

Installation on a Mexican Strat was a straightforward affair , although careful setup is essential to get the best from it. Once correctly balanced, the tremolo action is exceptionally smooth and controlled. The return to pitch is particularly impressive, with the bridge consistently returning to its neutral position without the "stiction" or slight hesitation that can sometimes be present with conventional Strat tremolo systems.

The VT1 also offers a much broader expressive range than a traditional vintage tremolo. Subtle vibrato is easy to control, while more dramatic pitch manipulation, including upward bends and dive effects, can be achieved without the system feeling loose or unpredictable. The response is quick and musical rather than simply being designed for extreme effects.

I would recommend the installation of locking tuners and a well-cut nut. This ensures that the overall tuning stability is excellent. The tremolo also retains the familiar feel and appearance of a Strat rather than turning the guitar into something resembling a Floyd Rose-equipped instrument.

The biggest compliment I can give the VT1 is that it doesn't feel like an aftermarket gimmick. It feels like a thoughtfully engineered evolution of the Strat tremolo—more responsive, more versatile and considerably smoother, while retaining the character that makes the Stratocaster tremolo so appealing.

Verdict: 9/10 — an excellent upgrade for players who actually use their tremolo expressively.

Si vous avez une strat fender ou fender like, pas de soucis, par contre pour les autres vérifiez bien les différentes cotes et entraxes.
J'ai voulu l'installer en remplacement d'un wilkinson 2 point sur une cort aero TH. Je ne peux pas le monter car il manque environ 2 mm sur l'entraxe des 2 points de fixation. J'ai aussi rencontré un souci de pas de vis des inserts qui n'étaient pas les mêmes que les adaptateurs fournis.
Il faudrait aussi que je modifie la défonce dans le corps de ma guitare (Cort aero TH super strat), ce qui n'est pas le cas sur une strat. Les adaptateurs très fins font un peu cheap.
Je trouve que c'est trop cher vu le peu de matériel fourni. Un tremolo type floyd de marque Gotoh 1996T, 2x moins cher, ou Schaller lockmeister 30% moins cher, comportent beaucoup plus de pièces. Vega trem pourrait fournir systématiquement les pièces d'adaptation 6 points et 2 points, qui sont juste un bout d'inox avec des trous, pour tous les entraxes (de fait il serait possible à l'acheteur de l'installer sans savoir à racheter la pièce) et également les inserts qui vont bien au cas où.
C'est trop compliqué pour ma guitare, je le renvoie.
Du coup, je vais installer un GOTOH VS1300 (Wilkinson) qui comprend un système de blocage de cordes sur les pontets et qui correspond parfaitement.

Was soll ich sagen ? Deshalb kurz und knapp : Das Teil hat auf meiner Fender Jeff Beck Strat dessen originalen Tremolo ersetzt und der ist auch nicht schlecht, aber der Vegatrem läßt sich noch besser und feinfühliger bedienen. So ganz feine
Vibratos - ganz leicht rauf und runter - gelingen mir damit organischer.
Ich habe noch eine weitere Strat mit dem 6 Punkt Tremolo und dem Rollensattel
der Jeff Beck Strat modifiziert.
Drei befeundete Gitarristen wollten die Strats gleich mitnehmen und
abkaufen. Hab‘ ich nicht gemacht.
Das schönste Lob gab´s vom Gitarrenbauer. Der war begeistert und überlegt
sich, das Vegatrem künftig in sine Stratstyle Gitarren einzubauen.
