GREAT REED!!

For me personally, the reed at first sounded a bit dull and weird, but after short break-in period - voila! the reed is kicking butts!! You can achieve really good control and articulation is perfect with it. For my mpc a quarter strenght between 2.5 and 3.0 would be pure perfection!
Thanks Vandoren, V21 is really one of the best reeds ever!

Great reeds

Huge improvement over the blue box traditional, works incredibly well for classical playing but gives a good response over all styles. Generally a lot more consistent than other brands of reed, however still find a couple in each box that are far too hard or soft.

Very nice reeds, they need a little bit of time to break in but they resound vigorously, with a big and centered sound, they feel amazing. They need a bit more conscious effort to play, but they repay every bit of it.

Classic Blue mit anderer Verpackung?

Mein Fazit zu diesem Blatt ist: wem das Classic Blue etwas zu billig ist der kann hier beherzt zugreifen. Oder anders ausgedrückt lässt sich für mich kein Unterschied feststellen, mit dem Mundstück und der Ligatur die ich verwende. Vielleicht gibt es ja Kombinationen bei denen dieses Blatt ganz klar seine Stärken offenbart.
Da es aber in punkto Qualität und Verarbeitung sowie dem damit erzeugten Sound nichts zu beanstanden gibt werde ich keinem abraten dieses Blatt zu kaufen. Ist der Kaufpreis erst mal beglichen gibt es nichts zu beanstanden. Wenn man nicht überwiegend Jazz spielt wird man mit diesem Blatt seine Freude haben da es für eine Reihe von Stilrichtungen zu gebrauchen ist.
