Good choice for old jazz
I tried this mouthpiece at a friend's - I immediately decided to buy the same one for myself. Vandoren optimum ligature. The advantages are a fairly bright sound color, the ability to play clearly and beautifully both on the piano and on the forte, altissimo is taken very easily, in combination with the Select jazz unfiled 2.5 reeds - I give it a like. The disadvantages are that the mouthpiece is very bright, in order to control it, you need to practice on the piano, while keeping the sound on the support - the tuning of the instrument depends on this. I really liked the mouthpiece - I recommend it!

Perfect upgrade!
My first high class mouthpiece-upgrade from the old Yamaha 4C.At first I was scared if I can handle it,but few hours later I was delighted with the sound,rich tone and easy go from the lowest to the highest octave.!Verry happy!

A really good mouthpiece
Although I had been quite a beginner when I bought it, I didn’t need much time to get used to it. I love it’s bright (but still warm) and open sound. As for the reed, the Legere American Cut 2.75 is currently a perfect fit for me. In the beginning I tried various reeds and I remember that Vandoren V16 2,5 suited me best.
