Excellent 87-style microphone with a classy vintage character

Great microphone with a classy 87-style sound. The UT Vintage87 has a smooth and musical midrange, detailed highs without harshness, and a very usable low end. On vocals it sits in the mix easily and does not require heavy EQ. Usually a high-pass filter, light low-mid cleanup, compression and de-essing are enough.

The build quality feels solid and professional. I also like the practical features such as pad, low cut and voicing options. It works especially well for vocals, rap and voice-over, but also sounds good on acoustic sources.

For the price, this microphone offers a very serious sound. It has character, but it is not difficult to mix. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a vintage 87-inspired condenser.

No lo he comparado directamente con el Ua 87 , pero eso no sería una comparativa para mi opinión de que es por si mismo un buen micrófono, tanto su fabricación y componentes son muy buenos, el sonido y calidad de grabación son muy buenos

Verarbeitung gut, klanglich definitiv in die richtige Richtung, aber doch etwas flach und dünn im Vergleich zum Original. Für den Preis aber gut genug um es in Erwägung zu ziehen.
