TAD ST-Style Wiring Kit

I bought this kit to have a backup when changing pickups on my 1996 American Standard Stratocaster (which is now a real vintage!), in case I messed something with the solder. I was not sure what to expect at first, but I was impressed by the quality of the components as soon as I opened the package, especially the pickup selector switch is the same as the original in my Stratocaster, which is very difficult to find from Fender since they moved the manufacturing of this hardware outside the USA and an original tend to cost a lot of money (just because it's branded on the package, I guess!). It even comes with wiring instructions! This is a full kit assembly, and I'll definitely buy it again if I need to fully rewire my Stratocaster again. At the end of the day, the pots you find from other brands like Fender or Gold are great too and probably all you need, but this one has the orange top 047µF capacitor and the selector switch that make a difference (well, not in sound quality, but since you know you have these installed, you will play better!!), and the jack socket is a quality one (this does have an impact on the sound, if you ever tried to play with a faulty, unstable one, you know what I mean). This is definitely a recommended purchase if you need a full kit replacement or even just the selector, you probably don't really need this if you only want a single pot, but I personally find it good to always have a full kit around for emergency, and this would be my first choice.

Ich habe mir das Kit für eine Harley Benton Strat besorgt. Die Schrauben für den Schalter fehlen immer noch und die Schrauben von den HB Switches passen nicht! Es funktioniert alles, es sind ausreichen Kabel dabei aber insgesamt ist das Zeug wohl nicht besser nur weil da made in USA drauf steht. Die Potts sind sehr leichtgängig und bei einem Toneregler gibt es ein Kratzen - blöderweise an einer Position, die in einem sehr interessanten Regelbereich liegt - es verschwindet auch nicht durch Gebrauch. Der sauteure Schalter sieht cool aus - macht aber Knacksgeräusche - die Performance der Originalparts war besser !!! Ich denke klanglich gibt es da keine Unterschiede - das ist alles Einbildung. Ich mag dieses Vintagezeug (Stoffkabel, große Potis . . .) aber brauchen tut man die Teile wirklich nicht.
