I swapped these to my home-made strat over some cheap non-locking tuners. These Schallers seem to keep the tuning slightly better and changing strings now is a breeze. Since these are staggered, three of the tuners have the string entrance-point lower which helps to create angle to the headstock on strat-kind-guitars. This also means that you no longer need string trees after these are installed. So even less friction on your guitar.

I highly recommend this product.

I put these on some cheap strat I bought from a pawn shop (full upgrade going on).
Installation took 10 minutes with my unexpert hands.
These tuners work flawlessly. Top notch quality - german engeneering surpasses anything from the US imho.
Not cheap, but worth the price for an essential piece of gear that will outlast a lifetime - just as anything from Schaller.
And they're beautiful, too :-)

I have bought these machines for every guitar I have except for one, that I'm waiting to replace with these. I have 6 in line and 3+3 in black, nickel and chrome, love them!
