Useful slim VCA but it is temperamental about power supply

I've had this VCA for about 8 months and it has worked and sounded fine, but having recently moved it to a different rack I found it would work as a fader but not respond to CV... Turns out it was not booting up properly when the case was switched on (there is a green LED on the back, if this doesn't come on, then the VCA hasn't booted up). Note that this is a rack in which I have 42 other modules, mixture of digital and analog, and all start up and operate without any issues. I have two of these IDAs and they both behave the same way... only replugging the power connector seems to bring it to life. But that is obviously not practical so I'll have to choose carefully where I use them.

Wenig Geld aber viel Leistung

Paket kam - ausgepackt - angeschlossen - "Wow"! Wahnsinn, wieviel Leistung aus so wenig Material und Elektronik kommt.

Der Verstärker ist laut und klingt gut, also keinerlei Verfälschung. Ich brauchte einen Verstärker für Audio und möglichst wenig Geld. Deshalb hatte ich mich für dieses Gerät entschieden. Alle angeschlossenen Doepfer-Module fühlen sich an ihm sehr wohl.

Gut, die Ausstattung ist minimal. Aber immerhin gibt es auch einen CV-Eingang für Hüllkurvengeneratoren o. ä.

Wer wenig Platz im Rack hat oder einen Zweit- oder Dritt-VCA braucht macht mit dem guten Stück nichts verkehrt.

Absolute Kaufempfehlung!
