Modern vintage
It's been several years since I purchased these pickups from Thomann and replaced the Dragon II's of my PRS Custom 22. I haven't felt any urges for further experimentation. These pickups are extremely high quality, and the blend of modern and vintage was exactly what I was looking for. 5909's are very versatile and capable of producing tones ranging from heavy to dynamic cleans, which was one of my main requirements. In the past few years that I've used the 5909 pickups there hasn't been any problems with the wiring or anything at all. I highly recommend them for any guitar and guitarist.
