Presonus Faderport V2

Positives:
I bought this to do some volume automation in mixing. The feature set of this little unit is suprising. Using this with my left hand to write the automation I usually keep my middle finger on the fader, thumb on the stop/play buttons and indexfinger on the rewind/forward button so it really makes it easy and fast to scroll through the mix and automate when needed.

Negatives:
The fader cap feels really plastic and cheap (obviously because it's plastic) and it wiggles around sideways just a little. You also have to make sure you're pushing the fader with weight to make sure that it registers the movements. If you lay your hand on the faderport and push the fader forward it will not register that movement. The fader will not move accordingly in read mode and if you re-write a part the values will jump around on the automation lane when you youch the fader. It's super annoying. I wish the fader was heavier and the motor would be more precise. I still manage to use it just fine. I guess I've just gotten used to it.
