Very nice C and G string, decent D and A

Used the strings on a 1/4 size children violin. Initially, in the first two weeks they did sound like rubbish. Once played in (but it takes a while), they are very nice sounding strings. Especially the lower ones.

On the student instrument (bargain bin at second hand store, but nice finishing) we use, they match nicely. Our 1/2 violin has dominant strings on it, which do not sound that nice (partially due to the violin).

Wrapping at the end is a bit thick for a wittner tailpiece in 1/4 size, so some chafing occurred when they were inserted.

Definately worth the price Thomann charges for them.

Seit über 10 Jahren verwenden wir die Saiten Pirastro Tonica bei Violine und Viola in unseren Streicherklassen am Albrecht-Ernst-Gymnasium und sind damit sehr zufrieden.

Compramos este juego de cuerdas para la viola de 14" de principiante por consejo del profesor. De momento no ha tenido ningún problema.
La afinación tardó bastante en estabilizarse.
