to secure the mic holder for example. But very good K&M quality. Don't buy the plastic bottom ones, you'll regret it!

Good value overhead stand
Definitely a good value for the money. Holds the common overhead mics with no issues. Not for the heaviest of microphones in overhead configuration unless the boom is pointing up a fair bit.
