it's very uncomfortable to play.
Strings are extremely high from frets - ROT should be .0625" on high string and .07825" on low. On this box it is .16" on both strings - more than 2x - 2.5x times normal height.
Also back has neck back bow - strings at 7th fret are lower than 17th or nut. Fretted notes are choking at several frets even with this overly high action. Difficult to catch this but I did send photo.
With the back bow, lowering the unadjustable bridge by sanding would make the choking/buzzing much worse given the amount of height reduction needed.
Also either the neck or the bridge placement is off by a lot. The strings are not parallel to the center of the neck. Since the bridge is screwed on just attempting to move the bridge is not an option, and since the neck is note straight to the body, it would just slip out of alignment anyway.
Too bad, it doesn't sound bad but is painful to play and will only get worse.
I give this a failing grade on several account due to poor manufacture. Attempting to return. I do not want a replacement.

J'ai acheté cette cigar box JN avec l'intention de l'électrifier, étant très en retard sur la fabrication de ma guitare perso.

Lors de l'essai dès la sortie de l'emballage, une très bonne surprise, le volume du son qui sort de cette petite boîte est étonnant, largement suffisant pour se faire plaisir. Donc elle va rester comme ça, j'ai abandonné le projet de l'électrifier.

La finition est correcte, il y a un truss rod, et les mécaniques sont suffisamment démultipliées pour régler correctement la tension des cordes (la 1ère corde a toutefois cassé au premier accordage en GDGB, j'ai donc prélevé la code de Si sur un autre jeu de cordes). Au passage, cette cigar box tient bien l'accord.
Donc beaucoup de bonnes choses....

Autre bonne surprise, elle est livrée avec une housse très correcte (c'est effectivement mentionné dans la description sur le site, mais cela ne m'avait pas sauté aux yeux).

Pour ce qui est moins positif, le manche est un peu trop fin pour moi pour placer le bottleneck (mais je dois avoir au mieux 0,1 % du niveau de Justin Johnson), donc ce manche est un peu moins facile qu'un manche à section plus rectangulaire. Le frettage n'est pas non plus très soigné, mais rien de rédhibitoire.

La "projection" du son me semble faible au niveau de la 12ème case par rapport aux 3ème, 5ème et 7ème, donc peu homogène sur la totalité du manche. Cependant, un réglage plus fin du diapason compense un petit peu la situation en précisant le son (le chevalet flottant n'était pas super bien réglé à la livraison).

Enfin, il n'y a pas d'attache à l'avant pour une sangle. De toute façon, cette cigar box aurait tendance à pencher du côté du manche...

Donc si c'était à refaire, est-ce que je l'achèterais ? Et bien oui, sans problème, c'est une bonne cigar box pour un son blues très crédible, et à un tarif légitime pour moi.
Pour un tarif qui est un peu moins de trois fois celui d'une Blues Box Guitar Kit, il n'y a pas photo, il faut casser sa tirelire, oublier une BBG et lorgner sur cette JN, quitte à mettre un micro piezo en pince pour brancher sur un ampli, s'il fallait vraiment étendre ou colorer le son.

Ich kaufte die Zigarrenkiste, um in den Genuss von rohem, mobilem Blues zu kommen und alleine schon wegen der außergewöhnlichen Optik. Da ein wertiger Gigbag mit dabei ist, passte von daher der Umfang.

Ich stimmte das Instrument im Open-A Tuning, also A - E - A - C# für einen schönen Blues Klang. Wichtig: Das Instrument hat einen verschiebbaren Steg. Dieser ist so zu platzieren, dass jede Saite in Bund Null gespielt, auf Bund 12 eine Oktave höher klingt. Das lässt sich zunächst am besten nach Gehör einstellen. Es empfiehlt sich auch, den Steg leicht schräg einzusetzen, um die höheren Saiten etwas zu verkürzen. Danach geht's mit dem Stimmgerät ans Finetuning und schon hat man ein süchtig machendes, einfach zu spielendes Blues Wunder.

Die Verarbeitung stimmt, der schmale Hals lässt sich bequem greifen und der Korpus liegt trotz Ecken und Kanten angenehm in Position. Dabei macht die Box sowohl mit den Fingern gegriffen, als auch mit dem Bottleneck eine gute Figur.

Der Klang ist warm und hell, beseelt mit dem Charme des Blues. Nichts scharrt oder scheppert, Akkorde sowie auch ein gediegenes Solo überzeugen klanglich, was schon beeindruckt, bedenkt man den kompakten Korpus. Bendings scheint sie ebenfalls sehr zu mögen, also kanns losgehen mit tollen Abenden am Feuer.

Fazit: Ein außergewöhnliches Instrument mit Charme, einem soliden Klang und guter Verarbeitung, das etwas Geduld und Liebe beim Stimmen erfordert.
