Does what you'd expect. Fixes problems with leaking mikes (stage setup), consitent mic placemen and accidental mic displacement (like a kick in the mic boom during the show). sound quality is great, and l lets you have the the amp/speaker combo stay reactive to each other. in a comparison test against SM57 and 4x12, Redbox handles pretty well. I wouldnt necessarely use it in a studio. not that the sound is bad, but there's no need unless for a basic setup
