Fine saddles

I bought these saddles for a special edition Fender Stratocaster, which had too narrow saddles by default. The Highwood 11,20 saddles fit perfectly, and look vintage as the originals. No sharp edges, just good to go. Recommended.

Killer saddles

I?ve been through various sets of saddles on my Strat and these are my favourites by far. The design is brilliantly simple and means no more nasty grub screws shredding your palm. There are definitely tonal enhancements as well offering deep lows and brilliant trebles. Build quality is also a very high standard and come complete with stainless steel screws. Well done Highwood my search for saddles is over. Highly recommended

best vintage style strat saddles

My hardtail fender vintera stratocaster had an annoying tendency to emit a a sitar-like ringing when playing the G & B strings. I think this is due to the light gauge strings I use along with the string not sitting in a well defined groove on the original saddles. Replacing the originals with a set of Highwood saddles stopped the ringing and now the strat is perfect. Another bonus is that the grub screws do not extend above the top of the saddle so it is impossible to catch your hand on them.

Vermutlich aktuell die besten Strat-Saitenreiter

Die kleinen aber wichtigen Verbesserungen bringen unheimlich viel: Der Ton ist definierter, es sirrt nichts und die Saite kommt sauber durch den Schlitz, ohne nochmals geknickt zu werden. Die Saitenabstände sind perfekt und alle gleich, die Reiter sind sehr stabil und kräftig. Materialtechnisch scheint hier alles richtig gemacht worden zu sein, der Ton ist substantiell "besser da", die Ansprache schnell und auf den Punkt, ohne dass es "eiert" bei starkem Anschlag,.Obertöne werden nicht gedämpft und ungleichmäßige Frequenzübertragungen treten nicht auf. Selbst kräftige Anschläge sind hier kein Problem. Eigentlich (fast) perfekt gemacht. manche Madenschrauben sind für meinen Geschmack etwas zu kurz, warum sollen sie nicht zwei mal durch das Blech gehen (oben und unten)? Ansonsten eine wunderbare Weiterentwicklung der klassischen Saitenreiter. Ich habe auf allen meinen Strats die Highwood Saddles drauf. Klasse!
