Sounds just as good as it looks
It took a little bit to get used to the darker sound profile, but once I did, I can say with certainty that the Edition XV is my favorite pair of headphones to date.
They provide a nice, warm and full sound that is intricate without sacrificing too much on impact or "oomf-factor".
The soundstage is nice and wide with great instrument separation.
Overall the sound is quite fun and colored whilst still remaining neutral enough to be useful for producing.
The headphones are also surprisingly painless to drive, as I was able to get a good amount of volume out them on my phone and laptop.
In terms of comfort, the earcups are very soft and plush whereas the headband is....servicable.
The build quality of the headphones is also excellent and they feel nice and rigid on my head.
Also big plus to Hifiman for including a foam headphone stand in the box!
All in all, I don't regret my purchase one bit and will be happily daily driving these for years to come.
