Great bass, perfectly happy with it
I'm mainly a guitar player and I wanted a bass, nothing special, just to have one. This bass was a great choice and I'm happy that I didn't spend 3-10 times as much money on a Squier or a Fender.
Pros:
- Sound. The cheap ceramic pickup makes this bass sound like P-bass. Nothing more, nothing less, but it sounds good. Having played a real Fender P-bass that costs 15 times as much as this Harley Benton, the Fender sounds better, but not 15 times better.
- Fit and finish. There's nothing to complain about the paint job and the lacquer is evenly sprayed. The finish on the back of the neck is extremely thin, which is how I like it. Doesn't get sticky.
- Quality of the parts. Tuners turn nicely, bridge intonates well, all good.
Cons:
- Playability was good, with some caveats. I had to adjust the action after receiving the bass. The fret ends started sticking out when the neck shrunk in the dry winter air, so I needed to file them down.
- Tone pot didn't work so I had to replace it.
All in all, this bass is a great choice for anyone who just wants a P-bass.

Quite decent for its price!
I bought the bass mainly to satisfy my curiosity and ended up using it for many years to come. However, only original piece left currently is the body of the bass.
I would recommend the bass (as it comes from the factory) for beginners that have a friend or a parent who knows how to adjust string heights, intonation and neck straightness, because most electrical string instruments under 1000¤ lack proper finishing and quality parts that separate them from instruments that cost over 1000¤. While this bass costs less than 100¤, the lack of finishing is something that can be taken as a presumption.
After the bass has been set up properly it is quite easy to play and sounds "good enough" for a beginner that likes a precision bass sound.

Hintaisekseen loistava
Ostin tämän basson satunnaiseen kotiäänittämiseen kitaran ohelle. Tämä on ensimmäinen omistamani basso, joten pystyn antamaan vain aloittelijan näkemyksen bassosta.
Basson viimeistelyssä on muutamia pieniä virheitä, mutta niitä ei huomaa normaalissa käytössä. Basson äänessä ei ole mitään moitittavaa. Virittimet pitävät vireen aika hyvin. Kielet eivät ole minun makuuni, joten tulen todennäköisesti vaihtamaan ne.
Kun soitin bassolla ensimmäistä kertaa, kaikki kielet särisivät lähes koko ajan. Luulin tämän johtuvan bassosta, mutta kun opin oikeanlaisen soittotekniikan, särinä katosi lähes kokonaan.
Basso on hintaisekseen todella hyvä. Suosittelen!

Yllättävän hyvä basso
Ostin tämän ihan kotona treenailia varten. Hieman epäilin,että minkähän laista laatua voi odottaa,näin edullisella hinnalla. Pelko oli turha,basso soi hyvin,sitä on hyvä soittaa ja on ulkoisesti kivan näköinen. Ainoa miinus oli se että nauhan päät piti itse hioa,olivat liian terävät. Suosittelen lämpimästi.

Hyvä basso hintaisekseen
Hommasin tämän satunnaista soittelua ja studiokäyttöä varten, ja mielestäni tämä toimii juuri tässä käytössä erittäin hyvin. Sopii varmasti myös aloittelijalle hinta/laatusuhteen johdosta.
Mukana tulevat kielet on aikaisempiin HB:n tuotoksiin verrattuna kohtuu hyvät, ja muutenkin basson rakenne on vankkaa tekoa.
Otelaudan nauhat oli omassa yksilössä huolellisesti viilattu, eli vasen käsi ei rikkoonnu soittamisen aikana.
Valoa vasten katsottuna näkyy, että rungon pinta on ollut hieman epätasainen ennen maalausta, mutta tämä on kuitenkin vain pieni kosmeettinen haitta.
Mukana tulevat kielet on aikaisempiin HB:n tuotoksiin verrattuna kohtuu hyvät, ja muutenkin basson rakenne on vankkaa tekoa.

Hyvä soundi, mutta työnlaatu voisi olla parempi
Basso soi todella hyvin hintaan nähden ja pitää vireen kunnolla. Rakennuslaatu ei kuitenkaan ole paras – jouduin liimaamaan pari irronnutta nauhaa takaisin. Muuten soitin on täysin käyttökelpoinen ja erinomainen vaihtoehto aloittelijoille tai ensimmäiseksi bassoksi. Soundi on yllättävän hyvä näillä hinnoilla!

Pitää vireen ja sopii koti äänityksiin oivallisesti. Tuntuu bassolta ja kuullostaa bassolta se on basso.

A good beginner's bass
A good bass for a beginner. Of course somewhat clumsy, for example the neck is pretty thick. Anyhow, great value for the money and an excellent choice for a first instrument!
