Good ol' Gotoh

I have known how good Gotoh hardware was for years. My MIJ Ibanezes came with similar tuners from the factory. When the time came to upgrade my Harley Benton TE-90FLT it was a no-brainer. I couldn't be happier. These tuners are smooth, sturdy and stable, as expected. The Gotohs were more of a snug fit compared to stock tuners, but I managed to install them no problem without any drilling or sanding. The cherry on top is a very reasonable price.

top quality at a fair price

I got these to replace the tuning machines in my inexpensive bass VI guitar. They dropped right in, feel very smooth and hold tune very well. Even the low E string (84) is not a challenge for this tuning machine. Don't know how they do it at this price. Recommended 100 %

Zwar waren alle 6 Mechaniken in der Verpackung, leider aber nur 5 Sechskant Hohlschrauben.
Fällt einem nicht gleich ins Auge.
Evtl. ein Rückläufer oder ab Werk nicht korrekt bestückt?
Da die Hohlschrauben echt fest sitzen in der Verpackung kann keine herausgefallen sein.
Meine alten Hohlschrauben (auch Gotoh, 80er Jahre) haben ein längeres Gewinde können also nicht als Ersatz dienen.
Verarbeitung sonst Goto-typisch gut.
Nachricht an Thomann gesendet, mal schauen ob´ein Einzelfall ist oder die Charge.

string holes with burrs

The string hole and a lot of burrs. The strings would break while setting them. I noticed after setting up another set of strings. I had to sand the burrs away myself.

This is pretty disappointing for a brand as respected as Gotoh. I wasted two string sets and had to finish the job on those tuners myself. For the money I lost with those strings, I could have bought a better set of tuners.
