Laadukas hi-gain särö
Ah!

Best dual channel distortion pedal so far
New Friedman BE-OD Deluxe pedal is improved version of the original BE-OD pedal. Deluxe has complete tone stack with bass, middle and treble, which is extended with presence control. Sound fine-tuning is extremely easy and really wide range sounds are available. Thight-switch changes the overall response of each channel, which makes this pedal perfect tool for any genre and playing style.
Control layout is easy to use, only the presence knob is hard to see. Both channels have wide range in the tonestack and gain levels. Gain structures can be fine-tuned from the internal channel specific trimmer potentiometers. Really versatile sounds.
Sound quality and dynamic feel is excellent. The higain noise is nicely reduced from the original BE-OD. I use this pedal mainly to the clean channel of my tube amp. However, it works really nicely in front of digitally modelled ams as well.
Pedal comes with a voltage doubled adapter, which enables user to supply +18V from two separate +9V sources. +18V mode increases the headroom, although it is already big with single +9V supply.

Do
British high gain for days
First, the name of the pedal is kind of misleading, it's really a distortion pedal at heart. For many people this probably has so much distortion and gain, it's just too much out of the box. I ended on winding the internal trim pot on high gain channel to basically zero and it still has a LOT of gain. This also helps with the noise which is inherent in high gain. The pedal otherwise isn't that noisy, pretty average.
But it just sounds and feels so good to play. Thick, juicy, sweet British voiced distortion and also can do pretty darn great low-ish gain sounds if needed. It also feels like pedal kind of has some subtle compression effect even with gain turned low which helps with sustain.
The price isn't cheap but for me personally, its two pedals in a single box: Low gain channel for rhythm and high gain channel for leads. Both have full controls, so there is quite a lot of versability for the money.
