For almost 2 decades was the guitar god Eric Clapton seen/heard only with his "Blackie" assembled from 3 strats. When he decided to give it a truly deserved retirement, Fender built him a guitar exactly like Blackie, combined with a few extra wishes from the master. Due to the maple neck and the new vintage noiseless pickups, the Clapton Strat sounds very pronounced, which can be enhanced with the well-known TBX tone control; because Eric's sound have gone lately slightly fatter, the guitar has a very effective mid-boost; when it's active, the soloist sings again in a prime Woman Tone. A very versatile instrument that also celebrities apart from Clapton like to play.

Blew me away

I was always a bit sceptical about buying a Clapton Strat because of the V shaped neck but this fits like a glove. I couldn't believe the ease of action and feel considering I don't have big hands and long fingers like Eric Clapton does.
There's a whole array of tones to be found from this guitar. From clean sparkly glassy sweet tones to the ferocious heavy tone to be had once the simple to use Treble Boost circuit is engaged. Everything about this guitar is simply fantastic.

Après avoir longuement étudié les tests divers et variés de pas mal de modèles de Stratocaster, mon choix s'est porté sur cette Clapton signature.

Esthétiquement, c'est très subjectif, mais je l'adore dans cette livrée olympic white (blanc légèrement crème), la qualité est au rendez-vous, seul bémol, comme sur toutes les Strat, le pickguard est un peu cheap, sa finition pas extraordinaire.

Les mécaniques sont d'excellente facture, elle a une très bonne tenue de l'accordage (le vibrato bloqué d'usine aide un peu je pense).

Passons au plus intéressant, le son : C'est là que je pense que cette Strat se démarque des autres. Les micros noiseless ont un excellent rendu et le fait de pouvoir booster les médiums permet vraiment de couvrir tous les genres musicaux, en allant du son lourd au cristallin. C'est vraiment une guitare très polyvalente.

Un petit bémol toutefois sur les potentiomètres dont le réglage n'est pas forcément linéaire, ce qui réclame un petit temps d'adaptation pour trouver ce qu'on cherche.

Fender Clapton Strat - fetter Sound!

Ich bin seit drei Jahren stolzer Besitzer der Fender Clapton Stratocaster und finde diese Gitarre genial!

Die Gitarre ist, wie bei Fender üblich, makellos verarbeitet und kommt im Tweed Case.
Die Strat klingt, ohne den Mittenboost gespielt wie eine Strat klingen soll, sie klingelt und ist spritzig, dreht man den Midboost dazu, wird sie wirklich satt, voll und kräftig.
Einzig mit dem V - Profil des Halses muß man klarkommen.

Ich finde die Clapton Stratocaster äußerst vielseitig und leicht bespielbar.
Der Batterietausch wird über das Tremolofach durchgeführt, kein eigenes Batteriefach, finde ich perönlich sehr gut da die Gitarre trotzdem ihren altbekannten Scharm behält.
Fazit: Eine sehr vielseitige Strat die alles bietet, was man sich von einer Strat wünschen kann!

După o luna de la achiziția acestei chitare,pot sa spun ca este un instrument minunat care îți produce o mare plăcere de fiecare data când Cânți la el.Impreuna cu un amplificator bun aceasta chiatara are un sunet specific de Fender și foarte aproape de tonul marelui chitarist a cărui semnătura o poarta..După putina acomodare cu griful solid îți dai seama ca e foarte confortabila,ajutându-ne să-ți dezvolți viteza de execuție a diferitelor părți muzicale.In concluzie constat ca achiziția ei mi-a depășit Așteptările legate de acest instrument.
