Well it is just a drum head right ? Can't compare it to other single ply heads out there (such as clear remo ambassador) so I can only say it gets the job done. Actually, I use it as a resonant head on my floor tom since I wanted to tried clear vs coated head. And clear G1 has some benefits, it will bring out some high freq. that are maybe dampened by coated head. Give it a try.

Wonderful drumheads

I honestly didn't expect the Evans G2 Clear heads to make such a noticeable difference, but they completely transformed my kit. The first thing that stood out was the power—every drum feels bigger and more alive without losing control. The attack is punchy and immediate, while the clarity is outstanding. Every tom speaks with definition, even during fast fills, and there's a perfect balance between warmth, sustain, and articulation. They also tune up surprisingly easily and stay consistent.
If you're looking for a versatile two-ply head that delivers a powerful, modern sound with excellent projection and crystal-clear tone, the G2 Clears are an easy recommendation. They exceeded my expectations. Highly recommended!

Sonido REDONDO en parches de una sola capa.

Los G1 de evans llevan a casi todo set de batería a obtener un sonido redondo de tono con un armónico y sustain muy controlados para ser parches de una sola capa, si te gusta el sonido redondo en directo o estudio y te van los parches clear de una capa entonces estos son tus parches, personalmente a mi me gusta el sonido un poco mas abierto, vivo y armónico como el de algunos remo antes que el que ofrece el G1.
Pros: Parche que se afina facil y que hace sonar redondo casi cualquier set, ahorrándote de llenarlo de moongels o similar para controlar armónicos. Buen parche para sonorizar con mics o grabar gracias a la redondez de tono y control de armónicos que ofrece para ser un parche clear de 1 sola capa.
Contras: si te gusta un parche vivo, y que mantenga mas sustáin de armónicos, el G1 te resultará demasiado "muddy", poco nítido.

Por lo demás, es un gran parche, como todos los que Evans hace.

Valeure sure

La G1 clear est une valeur sure. Je l'utilise surtout en peau de résonance, je préfère les doubles peaux en frappe.

Avantage : Plus épaisse que les peaux de réso spécifiquement conçues pour la réso elle donne un son plus chaud, un peu plus grave et plus simple à régler selon moi.

Inconvénients : je n'en vois pas vraiment.
