Nyt on soundit kohillaan
Perus-straton mikrofonit antoi kyllä ihan kelpo äänen, mutta efektilaitteen kanssa kohina ja suunnittelematön särö pyrki lisääntymään, siksi lähdin vaihtamaan koko mikityssetin. Tämä osoittautui kehujen veroiseksi ja ääni on kristallin kirkas. Asettui vaikeuksitta entisen setin tilalle, paitsi yhdelle ruuville joutui tekemään uuden reiän. Vaihto paljasti, kuinka karkeaa työtä vanha setti oli kääntöpuolelta. Hyvää ääntä arvostavalle suosittelen mikrofonisetin vaihtoa.

Very pleased
If this doesn't improve your guitar tone, then it's already quite decent. Especially the neck pickup works wonders.

Versatile pick
I wanted to change the bridge single coil from my player strat with a humbucker. And came across these solderless sets from EMG, i was initially drawn by the ease of installation. I was debating with myself between this and kh20 set but ended up with sl20 since i do play wide range of different genres, and EMG 85 seemed like the better pick.
Installation was as easy as expected, plug and play. I did not have to do any permanent modifications to my fender player series strat.
Then to sound.
Emg 85 shines for heavier music for me atleast i was not dissapointed in its high gain chugs and metal riffs, i dont use the bridge for the clean tones too much so nothing bad nor good to say about that.
The SLV neck and middle pickups were definite upgrade to stock AlNicos on my fender in my opinion atleast. Tone is rich and strong that suits well for clean as well for little grittier blues.
In the end im happy with my purchase
And EMG is my go to brand in future
