Old School Sequencer
This is of course on the more pricey side given the fact that so many synths nowadays come with onboard sequencers. This has, however, brought a new aspect to my workflow because I can make one sequence and try it out with various synths. I also like the vibe it brings: this kind of sequencing is - at least to me - going back to the 70s Tangerine Dream. I work with Logic and this is a trustworthy companion for it.
