D'Addario XL-series
I've been very happy with the D'Addario XL series for quite some time now. The electric guitar strings are great value for the money and so seem the bass strings as well. I'm using these with a P-Bass and they are a good fit. No complaints about the sound or feel and they have seemed to last quite well too over time.
Might try a set of roundwounds next, but I'm quite sure they will also be from the D'Addario XL series. For the price, they are a solid choice.

Best bass strings on the market
I've been using these strings over a decade. These are the best sounding and the most long lasting strings that I've ever played. Occasionally I've tried some Dunlop super brights and some other brands as well but still always find myself coming back to these.
