Yllättävän hyvä minivahvistin
Ensinnäkin koon ja hinnan huomioiden uskomattoman hyväsoundinen laite, joka on aivan käyttökelpoinen äänityksiinkin kaiutinsimuloidun kuuloke-/recording out-lähtönsä ansiosta.
Hyvä puhtaampi kanava, sekä overdrive-kanava, josta irtoaa ihan pätevän kuuloinen moderni metallisärökin.
Vaikkakaan tässä ei ole perinteistä, laajempaa bass/middle/treble eq:ta,
niin Blackstarin oma ISF-eq toimii hienosti ja kuulostaa hyvältä.
Stereo line-in mahdollistaa treenaamisen taustan kanssa.
Tukevarakenteinen, eli kotelo ei resonoi millään soundilla, eikä äänenvoimakkuudella.

Surprisingly good value for its money

The price was so low compared to its competitors that I expected the sound to be something close to the Scott Pilgrim's effects, but when I played around with it, I managed to get a sound that is relatively close to what I would want it to be. Sure, there is a bit of additional noise when the gain is to the max, and the EQ control is not as versatile as it would be with different knobs for low/medium/high, but again - it's so tiny and so cheap that it exceeds my expectations. The built-in delay effect is a nice addition, I currently play it without any pedals whatsoever and I am mostly satisfied with the sound (although in some configurations it does sound a bit cardboard-ish). I would recommend it as a first amp because it provides a lot of freedom for its price
