Unbeatable 909 clone for the price
This is the drum machine I still use the most. Especially the kick is just amazing and the P.DEPTH and PITCH knobs offer even more control. I use this via USB MIDI on Linux, I don't care about the built-in sequencer that much. My unit had the crash/ride volume issue, but I got it serviced via Thomann and it has worked now. I have also the TR-8S and while it has its strengths (like stereo outs) it is just not as pleasant sound-wise (the 909 kit) as the RD-9. I think I'll buy another one at some point.
