Fabulous definition and incredibly versatile. The wash is exceptional, very thick but like syrup rather than like glue! It is useful as a crash is you are using a really stripped down set-up and the difference between the lathed and unlathed surfaces provides you with alot of musical opportunities to express yourself. I would recommend this highly. I play technical metal...this is definately not just a jazzy ride.

Perfektes Ridebecken

Ich war lange auf der Suche nach einem neuen Ride und habe mich nun endlich dazu entschieden das Geld in die Hand zu nehmen und dieses wunderschöne Becken in 21" zu kaufen.

Dabei hat sich bisher jeder Cent bezahlt gemacht. Das Becken ist der perfekte Alleskönner. Es besticht durch einen klaren, durchsetzungsstarken Ping, lauten Glockensound und charakteristische Obertöne.

Die 2 Zonen, die die Hybrid-Serie auszeichnet, machen das Becken noch variabler und verleihen ihm eine absolute schöne Optik.

Von leise bis laut, oder sogar gecrasht - das Becken macht's mit!

I use this cymbal at home, live in bigger teathers and studios. Great cymbal, dark but still cuts with a medium stick definition. Not really optimal for jazz, mor pop/rock/electronic/metal/. This is quite a low volume cymbal at first touch, but once washed up, its LOUD (neighbours can confirm).

Pros are the sound which is dark but defined

Cons: It doesnt sound very much when behind the kit, although the crowd och microphones picks it up great.

Conclution

This is Zildjian. This is their higher end stuff. If you like a mellow but still very much cutting sound when played such, i strongly recommend this. Big contras to an A ride for example (much darker).

Une sensation unique

De loin la meilleure ride que j'ai jamais eue. Non seulement la sonorite est exceptionnelle, avec un volume controle, peu d'harmonisues envahissantes, une cloche tres precise, mais la sensation de jeu est unique, avec une souplesse, un "moelleux" que je n'ai jamais trouve ailleurs. Precisons que cette ride est parfaitement crashable, meme en 21'. Le bonheur.
