The most responsive of the Yamaha GR mouthpieces.
I have used 6 Yamaha trumpet mouthpieces in the past, however although they are high quality and good for the job they are for - 16c4 for general playing, 14b4 good for Jazz, after a few weeks using the 14A4A MP I was surprised to find it was so adaptable. The depth is shallow enough for rich lead playing but also once you get used to it, the thicker rim suits comfortable lower register playing also, and without any loss of tone or richness in timbre. I have used Curry and GR MP's in the past, but this is the one I will stick with.

La qualité est au rendez-vous, elle vaut son prix, la cuvette est soignée et elle répond bien dans la majorité de la gamme, aussi bien dans les aigus que graves même si, un peu plus de mal a les atteindre (tout dépend de votre propre masque) bref je recommande

Elegant and Beautiful
I already play on a Yamaha 14A4A silver plate mouthpiece on my Yamaha 8310z gen 3 trumpet. This is a treat for me, because the Gp version is beautifully designed and complements the gold lacquered trumpet. I'm delighted to own it. The playing characteristics are identical to the SP as one would expect, however I like the way the extra weight balances wth the trumpet and the gold finish feels warmer and offers a tad more grip than the sp. Also I practise switching from Bb to piccolo Bb all the time, so I now don't have to bother removing and inserting one mouthpiece. Overall I'm delighted with this addition.
