I feel fooled

Bought this interface for handling small duo gigs. I watched some Youtube videos and read some articles, which tells nice things about the unit. I thought that this has it all: many connection options, built-in effects, good sound. I have to say that It handles the mixing side very well, BUT... the DSP effects are totally useless.

DSP features such as effects and EQ can be edited with a computer by using a software called AG Controller. The software can be downloaded from Yamaha's website. However, there is no save feature! The effects and EQ restores into original settings right after you close the AG Controller. So, you have to carry a laptop with you to the venue and set the settings from the scratch every single time. You cannot even save the settings into your computer. I contacted Yamaha about the issue, but got no answer.

Forget this device and buy a decent mixer without buggy software nonsense.

Versatile little machine

The Yamaha AG06 MK2 is a versatile content creation audio interface with everything you need for live streaming, podcasting, live or studio recording and even a DJ setup. It comes with balanced and unbalanced in & outs to connect anything like mics, guitars or synths, headphones and more. It's stable with good drivers, solid Yamaha build quality and a very reasonable price. It's a solid entry level machine and I recommend it for young producers, musicians, podcasters, live streamer, gamers and DJ's.

I use it with two yamaha hs7 speakers and a audioengine subwoofer and it works great. It is easy to set up and has a nice and easy layout

Really like the hardware, software side is bad

The software for the mixer is abysmal. It looks like someone ported a 2000s mobile app to desktop.
Otherwise the hardware is great and as described. Works for recording.
