I love it. One of my favorite pedals ever.

I am usually not a big fan of most v2 versions of pedals: if v1 was good enough for people to fall in love with a pedal, v2 often adds features, knobs, and/or removing hard to find components and often loses the magic that made the first sound go great. The AC Booster v2 is one of the few times where I think the v2 is not only an improvement, but far exceeds the beloved original.

- Sounds more open than the original.

- External DIP switches are brilliant - and like most Xotic pedals, provide numerous options for different sounds.

- The range of the gain knob has made it so this my new favorite the best edge of breakup pedal. Dynamic enough that you can set the pedal so that you can cause the sound through the pedal to break up with just how hard your strum.

If you liked the original, you should love this. If I had to bring only one overdrive pedal, I'd be happy if it was this one.

We can only hope for a v2 of the BB Preamp too.

Der MAXON OD9 Pro+ war mir einfach zu mittig beim Aufblasen meines JCM2000 DSL100 ... Die KI schlug mir den XOTIC AC Booster V2 vor und bumm ... VOLLTREFFER ! Das ist allererste Sahne, wie man damit den JCM800 Kanal meines 2000ers aufblasen kann, ohne dessen Grundsound gross zu verändern und es klingt so geil-schmierig und fett und des Ding ist enorm vielseitig ! High-Gain Himmel pur ! ... HAPPY !

Uso questo pedale con una Marshall 1987x settata per ottenere un bel crunch. Bene l'xotic permette di partire da quel suono ed ottenere qualsiasi altra sfumatura di gain si desideri. I numerosi controlli garantiscono di poter ottenere il suono desiderato, garantito. Il pedale ha una riserva di gain davvero apprezzabile ed anche il boost già a basso livello è tanta roba. Pere pedale davvero bello, proposto ad un prezzo competitivo visti l'odierno mercato.

Tuve en su día el AC Booster v1. Era un pedal que sonaba muy bien en determinadas circunstancias pero a veces, con según que guitarras/amplis, me resultaba difícil ajustar el nivel de agudos cuando aumentaba la ganancia. También a veces echaba en falta algo de rango medio si, por ejemplo, tocaba con single coils en un ampli Fender...

En definitiva, esta vez Xotic sí ha hecho una actualización del pedal en la que se nota que han tenido en cuenta las "críticas" y han trabajado duro por mejorar el pedal en lugar de cambiar un poco el diseño.

Para mí es ideal y muy muy versátil gracias a sus nuevos opciones de configuración. Habrá a quién no le guste el doble botón tan junto o el minúsculo potenciómetro central... Pero para mí está bien.
