Well worth the money

I honestly didn't expect much out of this bass. I just wanted to buy my first unlined fretless bass, and I wanted a Warwick. Upon unboxing, my reaction was, "WOW." I didn't expect such a quality from Rock Bass line.

It is light; lighter than my Pro Series Corvette. Sustain goes on forever, it has a beautiful singing mwah, and ofcourse, the Warwick bridge is delightful to work with. Tigerstripe ebony fingerboard is something of a dream. I just wish it was a bit more polished.

The onboard EQ leaves a bit more to be desired. Compared to my Pro Series, the tone that the onboard EQ gives is significantly weaker. I also wish that a mid knob would have been added, as I fiddle around the most with mid when it comes to fretless. I had to make SIGNIFICANT action and intonation adjustments upon arrival.

Security locks seem to work fine, although different from my Pro Series. I'm not sure which is better or more expensive, but as long as it works... All the tools are included, and it also came with a spare battery.

The poor baby was SOAKED in condensation. Cold weather, I guess. AND RIDICULOUS SUSTAIN

An amazing bass. Really

Obviously it’s not finished as well as German Warwicks. But with some adjustment you can’t get incredibly low action, it’s really a dream to play. And with roundwounds, the sound is incredible. Fretless is hard to master, but it’s also very rewarding, and you can sound pretty decent after a few days. I highly recommend this bass. Incredible value for the price.

J'ai eu pas mal de basses frétées et fretless et franchement pour le prix ça vaut vraiment le coup avec cette version active, ça ronfle et ça chante super bien, manche extra ,réglage avec action basse sans problème, je n'utilise que des cordes fillet rond

Ein guter Bass

Hier mal meine Eindrücke von dem Instrument in aller Kürze zusammengefasst.

Sound: Dieses Instrument liefert (zusammen mit dem richtigen Verstärker) für jedes Genre den passenden Sound. Von smoothem Jazz bis Extrem Metal. Die aktiven Pick Ups sind auch sehr durchsetzungsfähig. Selbst wenn ich mit 2 High-Gain Metal Gitarren spiele höre ich mich im Proberaum oder auf der Bühne immer sehr gut.

Features: Hier gibt es nicht viel zu sagen, der Bass hat alles was man braucht. Einziger Kritikpunkt ist für mich der fehlende Aktiv/Passiv Switch.

Verarbeitung: Insgesamt ist der Bass gut verarbeitet. Die Mechaniken und Regler sind butterweich aber trotzdem stabil, das Spielgefühl ist sehr gut und der Bass ist wirklich leicht wie eine Feder (ich habe Gitarren die schwerer sind). Beim Wechsel der Batterie braucht man tatsächlich etwas Fingerspitzengefühl, da alles sehr eng beieinander ist man mit mit zu viel Kraftaufwand leicht etwas beschädigen kann, insbesondere an der Klinkenbuchse. Außerdem ist mir aufgefallen dass sich die Madenschrauben der Saitenreiter unter Umständen lösen können. Besonders mitten im Set kann dies unangenehm sein. Für mich persönlich ist außerdem die Platzierung der Regler etwas suboptimal. Als Pick-User kommt man in den höheren Lagen sehr leicht aber auch ungewollt an den Volume- oder Balance Regler. Das ist aber reine Geschmackssache und kein Verarbeitungsfehler.
