pros - it works, it is cheap
cons - no cable strain relief feature by any means.
- the lid is only hold by the 2 small screws at the rubber boot leaving the front edge disconnected (more expensive connectors have grooves on sides securing the lid better).
I only use it for occasional cables with no requirement for mechanical resistance.

Great for use in a recording studio where the cable is fixed for a long time.

good quality
Got these to make permanent leads to not stick out so much on the rack when the cover goes on. Not a 100% success for the job as they get in the way of other xlr sockets but a v useful piece of kit and these ones are well made and durable

Good quality, no plastic parts, basically nothing to accidently break.

What's not to like
A great product, and very useful where a straight connection won't fit. I've fitted a few of these so that the covers can go on my rack case without bending the cable. Easy to wire.

It takes a little longer to solder these up due to needing to unscrew the casing and cable grip each time, but I was happy to spend the tiny extra amount of time for the price! Couldn't fault them, quality wise. They do the job I need them to do perfectly (I have them installed in the back of a rack which is gigged).
