this cover have open back, probably so that guitar can be carried on the back with gigbag straps. but on the other hand, that way guitar can not be 100% protected from heavy rain.
I did mistake by buying this cover because I didn't read reviews, and from product pictures it is not possible to figure out it has open back. in fact I was looking for cheap dust/moisture full size cover for one of my guitars which I'm not using very often.
this cover can't fit on bigger or thick padded gigbags like Thomann E-guitar Gigbag Premium which I have.
material itself seems of good quality for rain protection, although whole product is not useful for my needs.

Ein sehr guter Regenschutz. Sehr gute Qualität. Darunter befindet sich ein gummiertes Material, jedoch mit einer sehr dünnen Schicht, was es leicht und flexibel macht. Passend für E-Gitarre und Koffer. Ich empfehle den Kauf.

This cover (placed on top of your gigbag)) can provide an additional layer of cover for your guitar, in case of rain.
The material repels water and it is super thin and light wait, so it can easily be kept in the pocket of your gigbag.
It does exactly what it should and the value for money is excellent.

It's compact and does a job
It's compact enough to carry it within your gig bag. Can help you to gain some time to reach a proper cover in case you got caught by the rain.

There really is not much more to add. It is a cover for your gig-bag to protect it from rain.
It is an open back design so that you can use the backpack straps.
The only thing is the title "Thomann Rain Cover E-Guitar Gig Bag" - this might be understood that it is a gig bag, that is also a rain cover. I as a dumb person thought it indeed is a standalone gig bag. A much better title would be "Rain cover for a gig bag".
But it is cheap and it works.

Very small
I bought both this one and the western guitar size one, with the purpose of protecting my Duesenberg Starplayer TV case (which is covered in fabric). This one (the e-guitar) cover does not fit at all - very small. The western guitar cover barely fits the case. They are designed for very small gig bags, and have a large, elastic opening - where the gig bag shoulder straps are.

I can't Stop the RAIN - cover
This is a great little item . Fits most gig bags . Made for the Thomann range obviously but , it fits on my PRS gig-bag even managed (although it was a bit of a struggle) to stretch it over my Gibson tribute soft-case .
