To me it's about perspective. A pair of meh (nice if on a big discount) quality leather shoes lasting a couple years at most is used daily or this gem that will outlive you if you treat it like you're hopefully already treating your guitar.

Very nice and comfy, not slippery. The bonus is that if one uses only the 2 lower slits, it´s 147 cm long from hole to hole, which is perfect for a lowish slung Gibson.
