Functional
It serves the purpose of deadening the reflective sounds when they are around. Nice material and aesthetics but dont expect them to absorb low frequencies. I have this with 4 pieces extra in front of my front wall, behind the speakers. With the addition of tube bass traps on the corners, the early reflections are treated quite well
