Over the years I have tried it all, and some things work better than others, but never quite perfect. Finally I bought two Sonitus Kicker, and what a pleasant surprise! My two Sonor Prolite bass drums sound perfect, with exactly same dampening and sound.
I am just amazed how well these work, and in a combo with Kelly Shu mic mount I got the fatest and punchiest bass drum sound you can imagine.
Full control - zero nonsense. EQ for your bass drums.

not for me unfortunately
This is no doubt a well engineered product but for me it didn't give enough deadening.
