Sennheiser E 602 II

Mikin taajuvaste takaa modernin basari soundin 50hz, 5-10k boostilla ja middle leikkauksella. Jazz rumpalin basariin en menisi työntämään, mutta varsinkin rockin ja raskaamaan musiikin parissa mikki on kuin kotonaan. Vintage soundia tästä mikistä on turha ruveta etsimään. Toimii myös bassokaapin edessä luontevasti.

Ostin tämän mikin kotistudiokäyttöön pieneen 20x8 premierin artist birch bassorumpuun, jossa vielä tehdaskalvot (clear everplay lyönikalvo ja päällystetty valkoinen umpinainen resokalvo) kiinni.
Soundi oli yllättävän valmis ja botnekas heti kun asetin sen.

Mikki on selvästi suunniteltu antamaan basarista mahdollisimman hyvin bassoa, sekä kalvon lätinää korostava soundi. Ei niinkään korosta kalvon muovista klik-soundia, vaan sitä märempää splat-tyyppistä soundia. Mikin kotelo on myös hyvin tukevan tuntuinen.

Tällä mikillä sujuu ongelmitta moderni rock, metalli yms. musiikki, joihin kaivataan aggressiivista basaria. Indie-tyyppisiin soundeihin en ehkä lähtisi tätä laittamaan kuitenkaan.

I got this mic couple month ago and now it's been on several gigs.

My toughts:

+ Sound is very good. This mic picks the tone out off your bass drum and add MORE punch to it!
+ Super easy to get good live sound

- Only negative thing is that the cover of the mic is plastic so I don't know how it takes all the moving and giging

This mic does much of the heavy lifting for me as the EQ shape is quite scooped boosting the highs and lows. Great choice for modern kick drum sounds both live and in the studio.

Sennheiser E 602 II Is a great mic for the kick drum. I've been using this for years in different studios and it sounds great in genres from pop to metal. Just by placing it sidewise inside a kick drum gives a great country kick sound.

Overall i love this mic, its versatile and it work great in many environments. Fantastic for live set ups as well.

This should be the new standard bass drum mic, it brings enough bottom end without being too pre-eq'd.

I use this for bass drum on drums I think it's simply the best mic for the job. The sound might not be the most natural. But at least for me it sounds almost perfect right out of box and needs very minimal EQ/processing.

Gives nice punchy sound for the kick drum when inserted halfway inside the kick and a bit off-axis. Downside is the weight of the mic, needs good stand so the mic will stay in it's place.

Todella hyvä hinta laatusuhde. Käytän bassarin äänitykseen ja lopputulosta ei tarvitse paljoa EQ:lla enään äänityksen jälkeen käsitellä.
