A wonderfully versatile instrument
The B4, though less widely known, is a very efficient, compact-sounding trumpet model that reacts well to different dynamics and has excellent effortless projection. Depending on the choice of mouthpiece it lends itself to very different contexts. Personally, for example, I have used it both playing as a “lead” in big band (with a shallow V-cup) and in duo with organ (with a medium-deep cup) getting very good results and a very pleasant sound for colleagues and listeners. Highly recommended!
