Schatten Design T2 500k Dual Thumb Wheel

I use one of these under the pick guard of my archtop; the guitar sounds good and I didn't have to drill any holes in the top of the guitar! I can also turn it down so it doesn't feedback when I'm not using it. Not very god for whale noises, though...

I wired the thumb wheel on an archotop guitar (Eastman 805e).
It works and sounds nice. The included wiring sheet was very helpful. I gave it 4/5 stars just because 45¤ sound a bit too much for two potentiometers, even if they look cool and are very small.

These pots are the only ones to get if you need discreet controls. However, please note that they don't come pre-soldered and they are very fiddly to solder. However, its been about a year since I've had them and they're still super reliable - no scratchyness etc

Soldered my archtop pickup to the thumb wheel easy to follow instruction provided.

Honestly they are way too expensive for what they offer. I bought them to put inside the f-hole of a jazz box. Wheels turn very very easily and are quite close together, so very easy to mistakenly turn the wrong one when you reach for the other. Tone wheel works poorly: no change between 3 and 10, all change between 0 and 3. The knob itself does not come with any means of attaching itself, not even screw holes, so you just have to figure out by yourself how to do it, trying to avoid damaging the exposed components. Even the schematics provided seemed outdated. Do not recommend, unfortunately

I had these mounted on the under edge of an arch tops scratch plate and they worked well with a magnetic pickup, they have quite a ridged edge so are easy to move with the minimal pressure.
