Exceptional mechanics, but fragile buttons
The Schaller M4 tuners have an outstanding mechanism - smooth, precise, and stable in holding tune. You can feel the quality in every adjustment. That said, the plastic buttons are a real weak point. They sit under constant string tension and can develop cracks or snap on their own, with no rough handling involved. For a tuner at this price, that feels like an unacceptable compromise.
