Industry standard for a reason
Well priced and considered an industry standard. U get exactly what you expect. Wether you think ligatures do make a massive difference or not its an inexpensive way to make sure you are doing all you can for your tone. Plus its really robust and hight quality. Feels made to last

Works like a charm
This is my first non-metal ligature and I had my doubts regarding convenience, but oh boy - it's so easy to attach and regulate it. It's hard to say if it changes anything in the sound as I also use it with a new mouthpiece (D'addario Select Jazz 7), but together they sound amazing. Quality-price ratio is unbeatable.
P.S. The cap is good too. Pleasant thick matte plastic.

This item NOT suitable for metal mouthpieces which are narrower
I bought this and did not realise that it is not suitable for a metal tenor mouthpiece, it only fits the larger/ wider plastic mouthpieces. So, I have to return it and reorder a different one-very annoying - and I now have to pay postage too.
My suggestion to the usually excellent Thomann team is to change the description- there is no "further information" available and whilst the the packaging tells you it's for plastic mouthpieces this is not visible on the website.
UPDATE- so I then bought the one "suitable for alto/tenor metal mouthpieces". Guess what, it doesn't fit an Ottolink metal, it's too small this time. Again, the information provided by both manufacturer and Thomann's needs to be improved. I can get it to play but it's right at the ned of its adjustment so much so that it's a real problem to get the reed in the right place.
Playing wise- its just "ok", I lose a bit of volume and control and prefer my old setup. Hmm, disappointed on several levels.

Tried and true
It's the choice of most professional players for a reason:
1. One screw, dumb easy ligature
2. You can screw to infinity, it wont damage your mouthpiece
3. Beginner friendly
4. Holds the reed, what more do you need?
Extra: Big screw that MIGHT be improving the fatness of your sound, but maybe that's mumbo jumbo. The thing works though.
