Last week, as I was running to catch the tram in Brussels, that would take me to my rehearsal, I lost my Rohema "Bruch" wich is very similar to this one, excepted for the grip (cork instead of rosewood).
Length is the same and Bruch is a bit lighter, but I found the Smetana is better balanced and has a swifter response to my gestures. Rosewood handle also sticks less to the hand, making it easier to change position.
Price is really reasonnable too, I think I shall order 2-3 more of them, just in case!

I find the Rohema Baton Smetana to be well-suited for a variety of musical settings, particularly smaller ensembles or classical repertoire. While I've found it to be versatile, I think it's especially suited for more delicate or nuanced performances. Overall, I'm pleased with the quality and performance of the Smetana baton.

Good baton for ensembles or small orchestras
This baton is well made, and very light-weight, with a comfortable handle. I recommend it primarily for smaller ensembles or for more light, classical repertoire.
