5/5 poweramp!!
I ended up with this because i didn't want to carry heavy tube power amp around. I had Rocktron Velocity 100 and it sounded good enough with my Ax8.
I tried two Velocity 300, but i send both back since there were problems with them. (stay away with newer Rocktron poweramps!! they have some issues with quality control there!!!)
Right now i use Tech21 PSA-1, G-Major and Palmer Macht 402 and i couldn 't be happier!! Great quality-price ratio!!!
Affordable, light, solidstate (no tube worriess) and sounds really good!!! There's allways this debate between SS and Tube power amps, but when playing high-gain stuff.... i personally can't tell the difference? Maybe clean sounds are more "HiFi" sounding with tube amp but who cares about clean sounds?
I run my rack to Marshall 1960 and power that Palmer delivers is more than needed!!! Even with heavy handed drummer you can easily make yourself heard!
Bass/Treble controls are really nice!! you can make the final tweak with them. Most definitely would recommend!!!
Unit is really quiet compared to Velocity 100.

Käytän laitetta digitech gsp1101 kanssa ja kaappina Laney 2*12 ironheart. Vahvistin toistaa mahtavasti niin hiljaisella kuin lujallakin volyymilla. Äänenvärin säätimillä pystyy hienosti muokkaamaan soundia tilanteen mukaan. En ole testannut muita vaihtoehtoja mutta tällähetkellä ei siihen ole edes tarvetta. Hinta kyllä kohdillaan.
