Game Changer
Designed to be a universal MIDI mixing controller with knobs and faders, in this price range Nektar Panorama belongs to Must Have category. It is one of those sneaky good devices, which are at first used only now and then. But after a couple of weeks, you notice that you have intuitively integrated in into your workflow.
One reservation here should me mentioned: I use Nektar Panorama P1 with Cubase, which offers full compatibility with the gadget. With other DAW software the user experience may not be as good.
But in my case it is. I use Panorama for channel level mixing and panning as well as - and this is the real treat - for controlling vst instruments and effect plugins.
Thanks to the patient people of Nektar, there are loads of these instruments and effects already pre-coded to fit Panorama, so they are indeed plug 'n play. Making your own presets takes a bit of work but is pretty easy, I've tested it once or twice.
All in all, if you are tired of using your computer mouse too much, get Panorama P1. It is more or less a steal, especially for Cubase users.
