Wonderful sound and feel with affordable price

I needed a more renaissance-style descant recorder with baroque fingering. The wide bore makes a pleasant sound, and I can feel the whole instrument vibrating under my fingers as I play. Even the highest notes are reachable for a non-virtuoso like myself.

I chose the single-holed model because it's closer to the looks of period instruments. Takes a bit of getting used to, but I'm well pleased with that choice.

The difference in colour between the rings and the rest of the instrument are not as pronounced as in the pictures, which I was happy to see.

All in all, this is a relatively affordable renaissance-inspired recorder that delivers.

Mollenhauer never disappoints!

Warm sound, good response and very good intonation. The fingers of the right hand are a bit one closer to the other than on a baroque soprano recorder model, it takes a little bit of getting used to that if you have big hands like me, but the instrument is just perfect!

Waste of money

I'm speaking as a beginner. This was an absolute waste of money and time. The fingering chart is for a recorder with TWO double holes for the right little finger, not this model with a single hole. THIS IS THE LAST PURCHASE I'LL BE MAKING WITH thomann
