Nice sounding heavy hihat

First of all, it looks very badass in the set. Its sound is very dark and noticeable in the mix. They are very pricey, but you get what you pay for - sounds very strong and complex, very dependent on your playing.

The only downside is that it's quite heavy and thus very difficult to control, at least in the beginning. However, once you get used used to it, you can get very rich sound out of it.

I've been using these for a year now and they are my "go to" hi-hats for most situations. Heavy, dark, and crunchy with a ton of range they just seem to sound good whatever I'm playing.

J'ai ce charley depuis 3 ans, et j'en suis pleinement satisfait.
Il permet énormément de nuances grâce à son son très riche en demi-ouvert, mais est également très précis lorsqu'il est fermé. Je l'utilise dans un style metal/rock.
Visuellement, les séries dark byzance et extra dry sont vraiment uniques, l'absence de finition fait ressortir le martelage à la main (et donc irrégulier), et aucune cymbale n'est parfaitement identique à une autre.
